Mike was born in Warsaw, Indiana on September 25, 1954. He completed his bachelor’s degree in accounting at Indiana University in 1977 and went on to complete his law degree in 1982 while working at Ernst & Ernst. In November of 1984, Mike joined Zurface, Sanders, and Rasor where he helped grow the practice from an initial firm of three to over twenty employees. When the need to grow further became apparent, he helped lead the merger with LMH in October 2006. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Indiana CPA Society, and the Indiana Bar Association. His emphasis of practice is in the areas of individual, fiduciary, and privately held business tax preparation and planning, estate and gift tax planning, executive stock option planning, and consulting for medical practices and individual physicians. Mike and his wife Connie have been married for over twenty-five years and have two children, Katie and Julie. He stays involved in the community through his service with Lighthouse Ministries, where he was a member of the Board of Directors for over 15 years. In 2006, Mike helped merge the operations of Lighthouse Mission with Wheeler Mission and continues to serve the local community as a member of the Wheeler Mission Board of Directors. Mike is also active in the ministry of Traders Point Christian Church.
